My iBend iPhone stands

Sure, no sooner than I post up a quick way to make your own iPhone/iPod Touch stand… I find this iBend thing. They run from 5 to 8 bucks, two in a package. While they are super thin and the bending tension is what holds their shape and device… the outside diameter when flat means you wont be carrying this in the same pocket as you ‘Business Card’ stand. But… cool and fun just the same.

Always have a iPhone Movie Stand Handy

If you travel much, you most likely have a SmartPhone or some other device that will allow you to play videos. Normally, when I fly, I watch a movie then spend the rest of the hour or two doing Power Points or Spreadsheets. That first bit of the flight, enjoying a movie or recorded TV shows helps keep the flight less serious. After traveling a few times I found that holding my Touch or iPhone up to watch was making my arm uncomfortable for the following hour of work typing.

I have tried carrying a few different stands with me. Many have worked well, but it’s another thing to remember to pack. I tried a couple little bendy stands that broke after a few uses in the bendy area. Recently I found a nice article over on that has lessened my concern about carrying a stand.

The post, and step-by-step guide was how to make a business card into a little stand. No longer am I worried about carrying a stand, I always have a Business Card with me… or at least a magazine with a stiff insert marketing cart that works nicely too. Grab the image for the card cuts and bends for later use when you tired of holding your device. This quick trick has proven to be a great conversation starter too… if you want to talk after your movie rather than work.
